Well...it was a busy Easter. The night before Amanda and I went to a party at Andy's house. It was mainly people from work. We had a good time. Poor Amanda is still getting over her teeth being pulled last week. Looking back it actually was a farewell party for many of my co-workers as my store cut about 40 employees 5 from my section alone. Crazy times....

On Sunday we went to the cemetery to drop flowers off for Gary's parents. Livi and my mom picked out the flowers and arranged them.

Then off to good family friends Tom and Jon who were having an open house. They have a beautiful home in LA near El Cholo (one of Amanda and my fav. restaurants...also one of our first date spots). See below for all the photos of the various events:

Rampant Sickness!!

Monday, March 27, 2006
Well last week was nice. Stephanie, Amanda's friend came down for a day. We went out to CPK for those non-Californians; California Pizza Kitchen. Its one of our favorite eateries. Well we had fun caught up swapped more travel stories etc. This week is another story. Amanda works with children tutoring them and as many teachers know. Children = sickness!!!. So Amanda has been sick since Wednesday night....today being Monday. She has had nausea, 104 degree temp, stuffiness, all the wonders of the flu. Now I'm getting sick. I'm not as bad as her. I only had a slight temp yesterday but no nausea. So today we are taking it easy. Livi is also in town and she has been doing a great job of taking care of us. Any food drink etc we need she supplies. Hopefully we will be back in commission in no time.

Crazy Times

Tuesday, March 21, 2006
Well it's been very hectic the last few weeks. We both are working full-time. I'm back and Best Buy....Amanda is working as a tutor; we are both working hard saving money. We are looking for a apartment/home to rent. We found a nice 2 bedroom place in San Marino close to where we have been living. Hopefully we will get it. We will see...

New Design

I'm working on a new design for this page. As you can see its still under construction. Having some bug issues with IE but seems to work fine with Firefox. I'll keep working on it.

Well we went out to Ventura to visit Amanda's long time best friend Stephanie. She has been traveling in South America for the past 10 months or so. We had a great time, great food, swapping travel stories etc. One of Amanda and Stephanie's friends from high school also joined us Gennie. Over all it was a great evening.

This is a view from Stephanie's front room...nice view huh. Her porch sits on the great Pacific Ocean. Great for views, horrible in storms or so I hear.

Stephanie and her dad Bob preparing the food.

Another of Bob and our feast. A great assortment of Argentinean food.

Wayfarers Chapel

This is the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes. Its right next to my fathers house and has amazing views. Its a glass church with many trees around. Its a very beautiful location....the only problem is its very expensive. So much to plan.

Running for a cure:

My number

Well we did our second Susan G. Koman, "Race for the cure." It’s a 5k around the Pasadena Rose Bowl. We did late registration and our numbers were in the 10 thousand so there were at least that many people. Jennifer Love Hewitt was the spokesperson, and there were a good amount of sponsors giving away free products. The race was good... we both finished with better times than last year so that’s good.

Our Car

We bought a car. Its a 2002 Toyota Highlander. Its got 40,000 miles on it and the price was good. We are really happy with it and are more than likely going to use it to drive up to Canada to visit our friends Derek and Fawnda. In other news. I accepted a job with Best Buy again. I'm looking forward to getting a steady income again. It always bothered me that I was just spending money and not getting any coming in. Amanda is working in Monrovia at a tutoring company. She is an independent contractor and is getting a steady stream of clientele. We are slowly but surely reincorporating ourselves back into our American lifestyle.
